THANK YOU FOR VISITING!
I have been traveling quite a bit with limited internet access. It is exciting to come home and find multiple emails waiting for me from people interested in volunteering! If you follow the link for the "archive" section of this blog (upper right corner) you will find an article detailing our volunteer expeditions for 2007. The March trip is no longer open to volunteers. Additionally, the June trip with WVS may be full as well. If you are interested in this trip, I suggest you visit www.wvs.org.uk and consider becoming a member of this worthy organization!
On our website at www.amazoncares.org there is a section about volunteers including a volunteer application form. Finally, since I am still traveling and having a hard time with internet access, I have a long-term volunteer that may be able to answer some questions. His name is Arturo and his email is artpard@hotmail.com.
There is a great article about last years WVS volunteer trip available at http://www.wvs.org.uk//Articles.php?art=56.
In terms of the week long trips in conjunction with Project Amazonas, please see their website for information about their fleet and "Madre Selva" field station. Pricing information on these trips will be forthcoming, but you can get an idea about pricing by looking at some of the other expeditions. Amazon c.a.r.e.s. will do all we can to help you secure sponsorship funds for your trip.
I am sorry this blog entry is so short, but I am on the run, as usual!
Thank you to volunteer Arturo Pardini for holding down the fort during my travels. I also want to say thank you to repeat donors Sandra and Oscar Bowen who are involved with the Animal Alliance of Canada and repeat donor Howard Lichtman as well as new donors Donald Oestriecher and Carla Hebert! Your generosity keeps us afloat!!
